It also sets a landmark for the right to education and equality in Ireland for all those resident while their applications for protection is pending before the Minister for Justice. In 2015, the Minister for Education started to run a pilot scheme for school leaver’s college grant for those who are asylum seekers, applicants for subsidiary protection and humanitarian leave to remain. The Minister has announced that this scheme is also available for the academic year for 2016/2017 and is set to be reviewed in 2017. Please see link below outlining details of the recent press release from the Minister for Education.
We wish our clients the very best of luck with all future endeavours in Ireland and in their voice advocating for access for education in Ireland for all.
Please also tune into Ms Nadezda Prochukhan’s live interviews on Newstalk and other national stations.
